Job summary

Mid Atlantic Retina seeks a Clinical Manager to lead Ophthalmic Technicians and co-manage Front Desk staff in a fast-paced retina clinic. This hands-on leadership role drives patient flow, staff development, and operational excellence across clinical and front desk areas.

The ideal candidate combines clinical skills with supervisory experience, strong communication, and a passion for team leadership in ophthalmology. Travel to other offices may be required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Leadership or supervisory experience required.
• Experience in ophthalmic setting preferred.
• Ability to train staff and manage front desk operations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Ophthalmic Technicians and supervise Front Desk staff in assigned location.
• Develop and manage clinical and front desk schedules for patient flow.
• Direct daily routines to ensure efficient patient care and workflows.
• Create cross-training programs for staff across clinical areas.
• Perform medical history, scribing, OCTs, injections, and data entry.
• Recruit and train ophthalmic technicians and ensure equipment maintenance.
• Enforce policies, safety procedures, and disciplinary actions when needed.
• Comply with attendance requirements and travel to other offices as needed.
