Midwest Vision Partners, LLC is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our clinic team. You will greet patients, explain procedures, escort to exam rooms, and perform predefined diagnostic tests prior to physician assessment.

You will ensure accurate chart updates and maintain a clean, sterile clinic environment. The role involves direct patient interaction, EMR data entry, and support for minor surgical procedures and injections, with emphasis on patient education and confidentiality under

Qualifications

• EMR experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Proficiency in eye care procedures and terminology.
• Be HIPAA compliant and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and explain visit expectations.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and perform preliminary tests.
• Document chief complaints and medical history in EMR.
• Record information accurately per physician requirements.
• Conduct eye tests: visual acuity, tonometry, lensometry.
• Assist with minor procedures and laser treatments.
• Educate patients on medications and pre/post operative care.
• Maintain patient records and protect privacy under HIPAA.
