Job summary

Midwest Vision Partners, LLC is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to support clinicians in Akron, Kent, and Stow offices. You will greet patients, escort them to exam rooms, perform diagnostic tests, and ensure accurate EMR documentation before physician review.

The role includes patient education, medication administration, and assisting with minor procedures. Travel between Akron Fairlawn, Kent, and Stow offices may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and explain what to expect during appointment.
• Escort patients to exam room and perform diagnostic tests (visual acuity, tonometry, lensometry).
• Enter accurate notes into EMR and maintain chart confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Conduct tests of eye function (eye muscle function, pupil size/reactivity).
• Apply eye drops to anesthetize, dilate, or medicate eyes as directed.
• Assist with minor surgeries, intraocular injections, and laser treatments.
