Job summary

Midwest Vision Partners is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to support patient care in a clinic setting. You will greet patients, explain what to expect, and escort them to exam rooms where diagnostic tests are performed prior to physician review.

You will document information in EMR, assist with procedures, and ensure patient confidentiality. The role requires interaction with patients, accurate data entry, and adherence to HIPAA.

Qualifications

• EMR experience and ability to enter information accurately.
• Knowledge of medical terminology related to ophthalmology.
• Prior medical or eye care experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and explain appointment expectations.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and perform diagnostic tests (VA, tonometry, lensometry).
• Document chief complaints and medical history in EMR per physician instructions.
• Assist with minor procedures and patient pre/post operative instructions.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
