Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Back Office Technician to support patient care and ophthalmic procedures across clinics in Pasadena, CA. You will prepare patients, collect history, perform refractions, VA, IOP, fundus photos, VF, FA/ICG, and manage EMR documentation, while maintaining a clean exam room and privacy compliance.

The role requires high school or GED, valid driver's license, and flexibility to travel between offices.

Qualifications

• High School education, GED or equivalent.
• Certified Ophthalmic Technician or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License may be required based on clinic location and travel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and assist doctors.
• Perform Refractions and Visual Acuity assessments.
• Conduct IOP tests and take Fundus photos.
• Perform VF, FA, and ICG procedures.
• Administer ophthalmic medications and maintain sterile exam rooms.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and patient communications.
