American Vision Partners (AVP) is hiring a Specialty Surgery Counselor in Surprise, AZ to guide patients through the surgical process and ensure a smooth, high-quality experience. You will schedule surgeries, verify insurance, and prepare charts for procedures in a fast-paced setting.

You’ll need strong communication, detail orientation, and the ability to multi-task; prior ophthalmology/optometry exposure is a plus, with a Monday–Friday schedule and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented, reliable and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule, Monday–Friday.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients for surgery with clear, concise details.
• Reviews surgery paperwork with patients; obtain consent.
• Schedules pre- and post-operative appointments by specialty.
• Maintains surgeon schedules and follows up on cancellations or no-shows.
• Collects patient out-of-pocket payments prior to surgery.
• Prepares surgical charts and labels documents.
• Supports referring provider relationships and patient experience.
