Job summary

Kleiman Evangelista Eye Centers of Texas is seeking a full-time Ophthalmic Scribe to support physicians in documentation and patient care in our Dallas clinic. Training provided and EMR proficiency required to transcribe histories, exams, plans, and orders.

The role includes assisting with procedures, triaging calls, and coordinating with check-in/out staff to ensure smooth patient flow. Prior ophthalmic scribe experience and COA/COT certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year ophthalmic scribe/technician experience preferred.
• Proficient in EMR and computer literacy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Well organized and attentive to detail.

Responsibilities

• Document physician documentation in EMR.
• Transcribe history, examination, impression, plan, tests, prescriptions, and orders.
• Assist with in-office procedures and triage phone calls.
• Prepare examination rooms with needed materials.
• Coordinate with surgical counselors and front desk staff.
