Job summary

Retina Consultants of Texas is looking for an Ophthalmic Scribe to document retinal examinations accurately and maintain patient flow. This role includes coding patient charts and assisting physicians during consultations.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and at least 6 months of medical office experience. We offer competitive benefits, including health insurance and retirement contributions.

Qualifications

• Strong, professional interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

• Understanding of medical terminology and/or ophthalmic terminology.

Responsibilities

• Summarize and document physician verbalizations accurately.
• Ensure accurate ICD10 and CPT coding.
• Maintain patient flow by confirming insurance authorization.
• Assist physicians during examinations as needed.
