Job summary

Kleiman Evangelista Eye Centers of Texas, a full-service ophthalmology provider, is seeking a full-time Ophthalmic Scribe in Dallas, TX. Training is available, and you will document physician notes in EMR, assist during exams, and support procedures to ensure accurate records and smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities include transcribing exam findings, e-prescribing, and coordinating with front desk and surgical teams.

Qualifications

• One year of ophthalmic scribe/technician experience in ophthalmology setting (or equivalent related ability).
• COT or COA certification and ophthalmology knowledge or medical/ophthalmic scribe experience desired.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in EMR and computer literacy.
• Well organized and attentive to detail.

Responsibilities

• Document physician documentation in EMR.
• Medically assist the doctor through the patient examination.
• Transcribe history, examination, impression, plan, results, prescriptions, and orders.
• E-prescribe medications in EMR.
• Measure pupil size and reactivity; perform corneal topography and fundus photography.
• Coordinate with check-in and check-out staff regarding patients.
• Prepare for and assist with in-office procedures and triage phone calls.
