American Vision Partners is seeking a Medical Scribe in Texas to document information into the EHR, support providers, and gather patient data.

The role involves assisting with pre-exam testing, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth patient flow. Ophthalmology knowledge is a plus; COA/COT preferred, strong computer and communication skills required, with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• COA or COT preferred.
• Ophthalmology experience is a plus.
• Strong computer skills are essential.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Document information into the EHR as directed by providers.
• Review patient data and preliminary tests before exams.
• Assist with patient rooming and scheduling flow.
• Educate patients on ophthalmic conditions and procedures.
• Gather measurements and run basic tests as needed.
