Drs. Campbell, Cunningham, Taylor, and Haun is seeking an Ophthalmic Scribe to document exam findings as the physician leads the patient through a visit, ensuring accurate charting and smooth face-to-face interaction.

The role supports the examination team, handles glasses/contacts prescriptions, referrals, basic testing, billing assistance, and patient education, while maintaining orderly exam rooms and adhering to state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Document findings dictated by the physician in the patient chart.
• Assist the physician in exam lanes and with minor procedures.
• Create and finalize glasses and contact lens prescriptions.
• Create orders and referrals for consults/testing as needed.
• Assist with billing and coding of exams, testing, and procedures.
• Perform diagnostic testing like visual fields, OCT imaging, etc.
• Administer medications under physician direction.
• Provide patient education and dispense information.
• Handle prescription refills and patient follow-ups with documentation.
• Maintain clean, stocked and orderly exam rooms.
• Comply with practice procedures and state/federal regulations.
