Job summary

Vision Innovation Partners is seeking an Ophthalmic Scribe to support our busy ophthalmology practice. You will assist by documenting chief complaints, history, ocular findings, and procedures under the physician, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Experience as ophthalmic technician or scribe is a plus. Responsibilities include documenting visits, preparing referral letters, coordinating referrals, and educating patients on tests and medications.

Responsibilities

• Introduce and build rapport with patients; document chief complaint, HPI, ROS, and ocular findings accurately.
• Document medical visits and procedures in real time.
• Prepare referral letters and coordinate referrals and operative reports.
• Explain tests, risks, and benefits to patients; provide pre/postoperative instructions.
• Educate patients on medications and care; follow safety procedures.
