Job summary

Acuity Eye Group is seeking a Back Office Technician (Floater) to support multiple clinics within the assigned region. The role prepares patients for examinations, assists doctors, performs refractions, VA, IOP, fundus photography, and other ophthalmic procedures while keeping exam rooms clean and stocked.

The Floater travels between clinics, documents visits in CareCoud/EMR, and provides patient education to ensure understanding of care plans in a busy, patient-centric environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in ophthalmic/optometric settings preferred.
• Valid driver's license may be required for clinic travel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for treatment and assist doctors.
• Document patient chief complaints and medical history.
• Perform Refractions and VA, IOP tests.
• Take Fundus photos and perform VF tests.
• Administer topical meds and maintain sterile rooms.
• Update records in CareCoud/EMR and educate patients.
