Job summary

Qualifications

• IJCAHPO Certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) or higher preferred with training experience, or COA with 3+ years ophthalmic training.

Responsibilities

• Provides and coordinates centralized clinical training to ensure standardized initial training and competency at determined weeks of training.
• Assesses competency level of technicians and recommends necessary training.
• Communicate with trainees regularly to ensure progress and provide feedback to education manager.
• Works collaboratively with Clinic Managers during the training process.
• Helps acclimate new technicians and sets training expectations and timelines.
• Provides training to clinic technicians and trainers.
• Audits technicians’ charts to ensure MACRA/MIPS measures and exam components are met.
• Other duties as assigned.
