Job summary

Atlantic Vision Partners is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician I to collaborate with our ophthalmologists and optometrists, delivering high-quality patient care. The role includes on-site training, paid certifications, and opportunities for growth across our Virginia, North Carolina, and Tennessee clinics.

You will assist with exams, refractions, and office duties while supporting a patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in eye care preferred.
• Ability to travel to other offices and work at multiple locations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and pay attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient history.
• Follow office workup protocols.
• Determine visual acuity and perform automated refraction.
• Administer eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions as ordered by a physician.
• Enter data into EMR and provide patient services.
• Measure intraocular pressure (tonometry).
• Pre-operative preparation of patient.
• Maintain equipment and instruments.
