Job summary

Virginia Eye Consultants in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Clinic Trainer to coordinate standardized initial clinical training for new technicians and staff within ophthalmology. Qualifications

• COT certification or COA with training experience is preferred and 12 months to obtain COT after hire.
• 3+ years of ophthalmic training experience is expected.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate centralized clinical training to ensure standardized initial training and competency milestones for new technicians and staff.
• Assess trainee competency and tailor training or referrals as needed.
• Maintain regular communication with trainees and education management for progress and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with Clinic Managers to schedule training and ensure timely completion.
