Job summary

Pacific Eye Surgeons is seeking a Clinical Manager to oversee back-office clinical workflow across all practice locations, supervising technicians and scribes and training Practice Leads and clinical staff.

The role ensures equipment readiness, supports OSHA compliance, coordinates training with vendors, and travels between locations as needed to maintain efficient patient flow and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum three years in ophthalmic clinical role or similar.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and computer systems.
• Ability to type a minimum of 45 words per minute.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions and exercise good judgment.
• Ability to effectively train, motivate, and support staff.
• Commitment to treating patients and coworkers with professionalism and respect.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Operations Oversight: supervise back-office staff and monitor patient flow.
• Staffing and Scheduling: prepare weekly/monthly schedules and adjust as needed.
• Training and Staff Development: train and mentor staff; conduct corrective meetings.
• Equipment and Facility Support: monitor equipment and coordinate maintenance and purchases.
• Compliance and Safety: support OSHA compliance and infection control.
• Clinical Support: perform ophthalmic technician duties when needed to maintain flow.
• Travel: travel between clinic locations to support staffing and operations.
