Job summary

Acuity Eye Group seeks a Back Office Technician in Anaheim, CA to support patients and clinicians in the optical and exam area. You will prepare patients for visits, document medical history, and assist physicians with tests and procedures.

Responsibilities include refractions, VA/IOP assessments, fundus photos, and angiography support, while maintaining clean, compliant exam spaces and clear patient education materials. Travel to clinics may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in ophthalmic/optometric settings preferred.
• Ability to travel to other clinics as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and assist doctors.
• Collect and document chief complaints and medical history.
• Obtain consents and ensure proper sign-off.
• Perform refractions and basic VA assessments.
• Conduct IOP tests with a Tonopen and take fundus photos.
• Administer angiography procedures and dilation medications.
• Keep exam rooms clean, stocked, and compliant with policies.
• Document ocular exams and update CareCoud/EMR records.
• Maintain professional appearance and communication with staff.
