Job summary

Acuity Eye Group is seeking a Back Office Technician to support ophthalmic care across our Pasadena clinics. The role prepares patients for examinations, assists ophthalmic staff, and maintains exam rooms, charts, and imaging equipment.

You will perform refractions, VA, IOP, fundus photography, and other ocular tests while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, and the ability to travel between clinics.

Qualifications

• High School education or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to travel to other clinics as assigned.
• Certified Ophthalmic Technician or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures a positive and professional environment and prepares patients for treatment.
• Collects and documents patient’s chief complaint and medical history.
• Obtains consents and ensures patients sign consent forms.
• Performs Refractions and Visual Acuity assessments.
• Performs IOP tests, fundus photography, and visual field tests.
• Administers ophthalmic medications and maintains sterile exam rooms.
• Documents ocular examinations and maintains patient flow in EMR.
• May drive patients between clinics in company vehicle in some locations.
