Job summary

Acuity Eye Group is seeking a Back Office Technician to support patient care, office and lab tasks in our Anaheim clinics. You will prepare patients for examination and assist ophthalmic clinicians with treatments, testing and documentation.

Required High School diploma or GED, valid driver's license, and ability to travel between clinics. Preference for Certified Ophthalmic Technician or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant.

Qualifications

• High School education, GED or equivalent.
• Excellent Word and Excel skills and familiarity with standard office equipment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for patient and staff interactions.
• Ability to travel to other clinics as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for treatment and assist doctors.
• Document patient chief complaints and medical history.
• Obtain consents and ensure forms are signed.
• Perform refractions and basic Visual Acuity assessments.
• Take Fundus photos and conduct Visual Field tests as needed.
• Administer medications and maintain sterile examination rooms.
• Update patient records in CareCoud/EMR and manage patient flow.
