Job summary

Acuity Eye Group is seeking a Back Office Technician to perform patient care, office and lab duties, preparing patients for examinations and assisting optical professionals in providing eye care.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, valid drivers license, and ability to travel between clinics. Proficiency with Word, Excel, and CareCoud/EMR is expected; you will assist with refractions, VA, IOP tests, fundus photos, VF and angiography procedures, and maintain exam rooms.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Valid drivers license and automobile insurance.
• Ability to travel to other clinics as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for treatment and assist doctors.
• Document patient chief complaints and medical history.
• Perform Refractions and Visual Acuity assessments.
• Administer IOP tests with a Tonopen unit.
• Take Fundus photos and perform Visual Field tests.
• Perform Flourescein Angiography and Indocyanine Green Angiography procedures.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and provide patient education materials.
• Document ocular examinations in the CareCoud/EMR system.
