Job summary

Key Whitman Eye Center - N. Arlington is seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant to work closely with clinic physicians. You will document patient records, input treatment plans, and perform essential tests to support eye care operations in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires strong communication, EMR proficiency, and a minimum of 1 year in medical/ophthalmic scribing. JCAHPO certification and CPR are preferred. Prior experience with patient education and HIPAA compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year medical/ophthalmic scribe experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• JCAHPO certification preferred; CPR preferred.
• Proficient in EMR and computer literacy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; second language desirable.

Responsibilities

• Obtain accurate patient history.
• Performs lensometry and diagnostic testing.
• Documents patient records and inputs treatments.
• Assists physicians with ophthalmic procedures.
• Maintains sterile instruments and privacy compliance.
