Responsibilities include history taking, lensometry, diagnostic testing, tonometry, and surgical assistance while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year medical/ophthalmic scribe experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• JCAHPO certification preferred.
• CPR preferred.
• Proficient in EMR and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and document medical records.
• Performs lensometry and basic diagnostic tests.
• Assists physicians with ophthalmic procedures as needed.
• Verbalizes post-operative instructions clearly to patients.
• Maintains cleanliness and sterilization of instruments.
