Job summary

Aspire Bakeries in Cayce, SC is seeking an Operator 1, Bakery-Packaging to support the packaging line, operate equipment, ensure product quality, and maintain safe, efficient production.

Shift is 1st, 4:00 AM–12:30 PM, with overtime as needed. You will work in a fast-paced bakery environment, lift up to 50 pounds, and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adapt to changing production demands.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and perform repetitive physical activities throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in hot, cold, wet, frozen, dusty, and loud environments, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and adjust packaging equipment to ensure products meet specifications and production requirements.
• Monitor product quality and food safety standards throughout the packaging process.
• Package bakery products using manual and automated packaging processes to meet production goals.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in compliance with GMP and safety standards.
• Communicate equipment, quality, safety, and production concerns to appropriate team members.
• Support efficient production by following schedules, running orders, and established procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve operational and performance objectives.

About the Role

We are seeking anOperator 1, Bakery- Packaging to join our team at our Cayce, SC bakery. As an Operator 1, Bakery-Packaging, you will be accountable for supporting the packaging process by operating equipment, ensuring product quality, and maintaining safe and efficient production operations. This role plays an important part in delivering high-quality bakery products that meet Aspire Bakeries' production, food safety, and customer standards.
