Job summary

HireArt is seeking an Operations Support Associate to join its Milwaukee facility on a part‑time, 8‑week contract. You’ll provide on‑site operational support, ensuring efficient customer service and vehicle readiness for rentals.

The role requires hands‑on support in a fast‑paced environment and collaboration with on‑site and remote teams. The ideal candidate is motivated, organized, and capable of maintaining vehicle compliance and documentation while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of in-person customer service experience
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license and insurable under policy
• Ability to work onsite in Milwaukee, WI
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with the rental process, including check-in, vehicle assignment, and rental return.
• Prepare rental vehicles for drivers, including fueling, cleaning, installing telematics and license plates, and conducting vehicle inspections.
• Manage and organize vehicle compliance documents.
• Organize the vehicle lot and coordinate vehicle transportation.
• Complete daily rental operations tasks.
• Report vehicle issues and bugs to the designated contact.
• Maintain service standards when interacting with drivers.
• Communicate with on-site staff and remote support teams.
• Provide clear, concise updates and maintain accurate documentation.

In this role, you’ll provide on-site operational support at the assigned facility, ensuring efficient customer service and vehicle readiness.

The ideal candidate is motivated, organized, and comfortable delivering hands‑on support in a fast‑paced environment.

What you'll do:

Customer Service and Vehicle Processing:

• Assist customers with the rental process, including check‑in, vehicle assignment, and rental return.
• Prepare rental vehicles for drivers, including fueling, cleaning, installing telematics and license plates, and conducting vehicle inspections.
• Manage and organize vehicle compliance documents.

Operational Support:

• Organize the vehicle lot and coordinate vehicle transportation.
• Complete daily rental operations tasks.
• Report vehicle issues, program challenges, and bugs to the designated point of contact.

Standards and Communication:

• Maintain the company’s service standards when interacting with drivers.
• Communicate effectively with on‑site staff and remote support teams.
• Provide clear, concise updates and maintain accurate documentation.

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in an in‑person customer service role (e.g., retail, technical support, hospitality)
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license; satisfactory driving record; and insurable under the company’s policy
• Familiarity with the local market area
• Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and resolve problems effectively
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to maintain patience, de‑escalate situations, and work effectively in a team
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Ability to handle prolonged standing and walking

Commitment:

This is a part‑time, 8‑week contract position (with the possibility of extension) staffed via HireArt. This role is onsite and available to candidates local to the Milwaukee, WI area.
