Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a frontline Operations Supervisor to support the Safety Above All Culture and manage day-to-day operations and a committed staff. You will oversee package sortation, ensure safety and efficiency, and administer training and performance processes.

The role includes mentoring staff, leading meetings, and adapting quickly to changing business needs while maintaining professional standards and compliance with policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• In lieu of experience, certification program or Associate’s Degree toward a degree.
• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Champion FedEx Safety Above All Culture and support related initiatives.
• Hire, coach, train, recognize and manage performance.
• Plan, organize, staff, direct and control day-to-day operations.
• Assign and manage employees to ensure safe, efficient sortation of packages.
• Lead daily meetings to communicate updates and daily goals; public speaking to audiences.
• Develop and administer employee relations strategies and maintain confidentiality of material.
• Develop and administer company safety strategies and programs.
• Train new employees on duties and FXG policies and safety requirements.
• Mentor and develop skills for new and less-experienced Operations Supervisors.
• Adapt to change to meet dynamic business needs; lead with urgency and positivity.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
