Job summary

Eskenazi Health is seeking an Operations Supervisor for Patient Access Services to oversee daily operations and staffing for efficient patient flow at the hospital and affiliated sites.

You will supervise the Team Leader, Patient Access Operations and contribute to planning, quality improvement, and customer-centric service delivery. A strong background in healthcare access, staff development, and process improvement is expected.

Qualifications

• Certification in Healthcare Business Insights within 60 days of hire.
• HBI certification as a Patient Access Specialist within the probationary period.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred; High School diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Proactively contributes to Eskenazi Health’s mission and ensures patient access services run smoothly.
• Assists the Operations Manager in planning, managing, and improving department operations and workflow.
• Leads staff development including hiring decisions, counseling, attendance, and performance evaluations.
• Focuses resources on productivity and quality to meet hospital goals.
• Provides hands-on training to Team Leaders and frontline staff on responsibilities.
• Participates in front-end and back-end financial clearance processes and communicates with outside agencies as needed.
