Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED, a clean CDL, and OSHA 10 or 30 card.
• Legally eligible to work in the US.
• Associate degree and 2-4 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with internal and external customers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership to the operations team and develops team members to assist them in reaching individual goals and create a pipeline for advancement within Casella.
• Oversees drivers and helpers to ensure safety and operational goals are met.
• Partners with the Operations Manager and Division Manager to implement initiatives to drive functional excellence and goal achievement.
• Performs onboarding procedures with newly hired drivers to ensure understanding of Casella’s core values.
• Monitors and coaches driver performance and advises training as needed to ensure policy compliance.
• Investigates all accidents, disputes, and complaints and completes required documentation.
• Creates logistical plans to reduce route hours using service conversions and container upsizing to improve density and efficiency.
• Participates in training and other opportunities to expand knowledge of the company and services.
