Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee collections activities within a division, driving safety and operational goals while fostering team engagement and professional growth.

The starting salary for this position is $75,000 to $85,000, with a benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life & Disability Insurance, and a 401K. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, a clean CDL, OSHA 10/30, and 2–4 years of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CDL and OSHA 10 or 30 card are required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to interact with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership to the operations team and develops team members for growth and advancement.
• Oversees drivers and helpers to ensure safety and operational goals are met.
• Collaborates with the Operations Manager and Division Manager to implement initiatives for functional excellence.
• Conducts onboarding for newly hired drivers to ensure understanding of core values.
• Monitors and coaches driver performance and behavior; coordinates training as needed.
• Investigates accidents, disputes, and complaints and completes required documentation.
• Creates logistical plans to reduce route hours and improve density and efficiency.
• Participates in training and other opportunities to expand knowledge and support the company vision.
