Job summary

FedEx Logistics seeks an Operations Supervisor to lead day-to-day sortation operations and manage a staff of package handlers, ensuring safe, efficient performance and compliance with FXG policies and government regulations.

You will hire, coach, train, evaluate performance, and plan staffing; assign work, monitor safety metrics, conduct meetings, and mentor less-experienced supervisors while upholding the Safety Above All culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Six months experience in a fast-paced environment or as a package handler.
• In lieu of experience, certification or 2+ years of college towards a degree.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe and efficient package sortation and daily operations.
• Hire, coach, train, recognize and evaluate staff.
• Plan, organize, staff, direct and control day-to-day operations.
• Assign work and manage staff to ensure quality and cost efficiency.
• Lead meetings and communicate updates to teams and stakeholders.
