Job summary

FedEx is seeking a frontline Operations Supervisor to support the Safety Above All culture and oversee the day-to-day operations and a designated staff. The role ensures safe, efficient package sortation and compliance with FedEx policies and regulations.

Responsibilities include hiring, training, coaching, performance evaluation, and ensuring staff productivity. You will mentor junior supervisors, adapt to change, and lead meetings while maintaining strong communication across teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Six months experience in package handling, retail, hospitality, fulfillment center, warehouse, dock, or related supervisory roles.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and communicate effectively with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Champion FedEx Safety Above All culture and support related initiatives.
• Hire, coach, train, recognize, evaluate, and manage staff performance.
• Plan, organize, staff, direct, and control day-to-day operations.
• Assign and manage employees to ensure safe and efficient sortation of packages.
• Analyze performance and implement improvement plans for key metrics.
• Lead daily meetings and communicate updates to teams and audiences.
• Administer employee relations and safety strategies in line with FXG policies.
• Investigate and resolve customer service issues as appropriate.
• Train new employees on job duties, performance expectations, and compliance.
• Mentor junior supervisors and adapt to changing business needs.
