ABF Freight, an ArcBest company, seeks a Supervisor, Operations I to oversee daily Service Center operations and ensure work follows approved procedures and standards. This hands-on leadership role covers indoor and outdoor work, promoting safety and efficiency in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities include planning, supervising, training, and coordinating loading/unloading activities, while maintaining compliance with labor agreements and fostering positive relations with partners.

• Plan, supervise, and control resources for loading/unloading of freight on assigned shifts.
• Coordinate with employees to ensure clear direction and monitor performance.
• Maintain load plans and balance for safe vehicle operation.
• Assign tasks to workers according to schedules.
• Provide training, feedback, and disciplinary recommendations as needed.
• Give positive and constructive feedback to employees.
• Foster relationships with business partners to meet service standards for customers and company.
• Ensure a clean, safe working environment for personnel and visiting customers.
• Foster safe handling and storage of hazardous materials.
• Maintain a positive attitude in a high-pressure environment.
• Collaborate to achieve department goals.
