Job summary

ABF Freight, an ArcBest company, seeks a Supervisor, Operations I to oversee daily Service Center operations in Oakland. You will lead loading/unloading activities, ensure compliance with procedures, and drive safety, productivity, and customer service standards.

The role involves hands-on leadership, coaching, and collaboration with partners to meet performance goals and maintain a positive workplace culture under varying conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising service-center loading/unloading teams.
• Ability to ensure safety and adherence to procedures.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and allocate resources for safe loading/unloading on shifts.
• Coordinate with employees, assign tasks, and monitor performance.
• Maintain load plans and balance for safe vehicle operation.
• Provide training, feedback, and disciplinary recommendations.
• Foster a safe, clean environment and follow safety standards.
• Support a values-driven culture focusing on safety and excellence.
• Collaborate with partners to meet service standards.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.
