ABF Freight, an ArcBest company, is seeking a Supervisor, Operations I to oversee the daily operations of a Service Center in Stratford, CT. The role requires hands-on leadership to ensure efficiency, adherence to labor agreements, and a culture of safety and productivity; work occurs both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.

You will supervise loading/unloading activities, coordinate with staff, and ensure loads are balanced and delivered on time, while fostering strong partner

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and control resources for loading/unloading freight on assigned shifts.
• Communicate job assignments and monitor performance with employees.
• Maintain load plans and balance for safe vehicle operation.
• Assign tasks according to unloading/loading schedules.
• Provide training, feedback, and disciplinary recommendations as needed.
• Foster safety, productivity, and positive communications with partners.
