Job summary

Roadrunner is seeking an Operations Supervisor in Mira Loma, CA to lead daily dock, freight, and terminal activities with a focus on safety, cost control, and performance. You’ll translate network strategy into execution, protect shipment integrity, and drive profitability across linehaul and local delivery functions.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, real-time coaching, and cross-team collaboration to maintain high service standards in a fast-paced LTL environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 1–2 years of relevant operations or logistics experience or equivalent combination.
• Experience in transportation, LTL, warehouse, or service center operations preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise, train, and evaluate team members.
• Strong working knowledge of safety protocols, compliance standards, and hazardous materials handling.
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain).
• Analytical and mathematical skills to interpret operational and financial data.
• Proficiency with PC applications (email, spreadsheets, databases).
• Clear written and verbal communication across organization levels.
• Ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute dock and terminal operations with precision, including load planning and linehaul coordination.
• Ensure accurate freight processing with proper routing, documentation, and data entry.
• Maintain high load quality and minimize damages, OS&D incidents, and rehandling.
• Step into operational roles such as forklift operation to maintain continuity.
• Monitor costs and drive efficiency and margin improvements; support budget attainment.
