Job summary

Roadrunner Transportation Systems Inc. is seeking an Operations Supervisor in Mira Loma, CA to translate network strategy into precise dock, freight, and terminal execution. You’ll lead daily activities, ensure safety, cost discipline, and service quality in a fast-paced LTL environment.

You will develop frontline teams, coordinate with linehaul partners, and protect shipment integrity while driving profitability and network efficiency through rigorous standards and accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 1–2 years of relevant operations or logistics experience.
• Experience in transportation, LTL, warehouse, or service center operations preferred.
• Ability to supervise, train, and evaluate team members.
• Hazmat certification preferred.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data.
• Proficiency in PC applications (email, spreadsheets, database systems).
• Effective written and verbal communication across the organization.
• Ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily dock operations including load planning, freight handling, and linehaul coordination.
• Ensure freight is processed with accurate routing, documentation, and data entry.
• Maintain high standards for load quality, minimizing damages and OS&D incidents.
• Step into operational roles, including forklift operation, as needed.
• Monitor costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and margin performance.
• Lead safety, compliance, and risk management with DOT/OSHA standards.
