AdaptHealth is seeking an Operations Specialist to support patient care and drive operational excellence in our home medical equipment services. This role focuses on process improvement, documentation accuracy, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include insurance verification, authorizations, EMR data entry, and maintaining compliance with healthcare standards while balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of relatable work experience required.
• High School Diploma or Associate’s degree in healthcare/admin.
• Experience in healthcare admin, insurance, billing, or call center preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support regional operations through workflow improvement and process optimization.
• Review and process documentation including insurance verification and authorizations.
• Navigate EMR systems to enter and track data.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, PPE and infection control standards.
• Collaborate with teams to resolve issues and communicate trends.
• Meet quality and performance metrics while handling multiple priorities.
• Assist with training materials, onboarding, and cross-functional support.
