Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking an Operations Specialist to support patient care and operational excellence. The role drives process improvements, manages documentation, insurance verification, and EMR data entry to ensure accurate patient information and timely authorizations.

Responsibilities include reviewing workflows, training staff, and collaborating with leadership to meet quality and performance metrics while delivering and educating patients on home medical equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or higher in a related field.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
• Minimum 1 year of relatable work experience.
• Experience in healthcare, insurance, or administration is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office and healthcare systems.

Responsibilities

• Support regional operations through workflow improvement and training.
• Review documentation including insurance verification and authorizations.
• Enter, track, and validate patient data in EMR systems.
• Analyze workflows to identify errors and implement efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with teams to resolve issues and report trends.
• Maintain knowledge of payer guidelines, products, and services.
• Assist with training materials and onboarding.
• Participate in projects to refine processes and performance.
• Meet quality metrics while managing multiple priorities.
• Deliver, set up, and educate patients on home medical equipment.
• Perform patient assessments and follow-ups.
• Ensure HIPAA, PPE, and infection control compliance.
• Safely operate company vehicles for equipment delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
