Job summary

Xcel Energy in Minnesota is seeking an experienced Operations Work Coordinator to organize daily work plans and crews, generate work orders, and ensure accurate data in scheduling systems. You will coordinate resources, coordinate with other utilities, and maintain safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires three years in similar operations, proficiency with Excel and SAP, and strong collaboration with frontline supervisors to boost productivity.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years related experience in construction, design, maintenance or operations (utility experience preferred).
• Must understand work functions including work order management, payroll, invoicing, materials, compliance and safety.
• Demonstrated ability to schedule and manage work activities to meet stakeholder needs.
• Use of Microsoft products, work management, mapping and scheduling/project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a daily work plan and crew roster.
• Adjust schedules day-to-day and assign crews based on resources and progress.
• Generate work orders and close out packets in multiple systems.
• Analyze reports to verify labor and equipment charges.
• Coordinate locates, materials, and equipment with other utilities as needed.
• Provide backup to other Operations roles and maintain data integrity.
• Collaborate with supervisors to maximize productivity and efficiency.
