Job summary

RTX Corporation’s Operations Leadership Development Program (OLDP) – Quality Engineering Track offers engineers an accelerated path with three 8‑month rotations across U.S. locations.

You will engage in frontline shop-floor tasks, drive quality improvements, and participate in regulatory and customer‑facing activities to ensure product integrity. The program emphasizes data analytics, continuous improvement, and cross‑functional collaboration, with mentorship and hands‑on engineering experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related STEM major.
  • Willing and able to relocate to RTX locations across the United States for three 8‑month rotations.
  • Experience with data analysis and discrete event simulation tools (Excel pivot tables/macros, Minitab, PowerBI, Simio, FlexSim, MATLAB).
  • Experience with continuous improvement tools (8D, CAPA, FMEA, VSM, Kaizen, 5S).
  • ABET/ACB accredited STEM GPA preferred and strong communication/leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Complete three 8‑month rotations across U.S. locations, adapting to facilities and quality teams.
  • Perform core engineering tasks and milestones in quality disciplines (Operations, Supplier, Regulatory, Customer/Program).
  • Lead frontline shop-floor activities to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Support audits, escape investigations, root-cause analysis, and process improvement across production and labs.
