Job summary

DH Pace Company, Inc. is seeking a Department Manager for its K&B Garage Doors branch. You will oversee daily department operations, lead field technicians and office staff, and drive service quality while controlling labor costs and maximizing profitability.

You will travel during training and contribute to branch growth by maintaining high customer service standards and coordinating with leadership to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervisory/managerial roles preferred in a field service or installation environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities; able to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Capable of developing field technicians and office personnel and controlling costs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day department operations.
• Develop and manage field technicians, installers, and office staff toward high-level service while controlling labor costs and maximizing profit.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to customer satisfaction.
• Proactively handle customer interactions to maintain positive experiences, even when delivering difficult news.
• Manage department budget and P&L with accountability for costs of labor and materials.
• Improve performance through regular reviews and coaching of the team.
• Assist with hiring and training of new employees.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
