Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is recruiting Management Trainees for hands-on training across service center operations, from logistics to team leadership. The program includes mentorship from industry experts and the opportunity to earn a CDL.

Trainees will rotate through shifts, gain familiarity with AS400 and Workday, and learn to manage a shift and departments. Travel about 15% to other service centers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• AS400 knowledge is a plus.
• Strong communication skills.
• Willing to relocate after training.

Responsibilities

• Complete shift manager training under an experienced supervisor.
• Trainees perform forklift training and cross‑functional production tasks.
• Participate in CDL training; learn to operate company equipment.
• Fill in as supervisor on different shifts and departments.
• Develop and apply new process indicators and improvements.
