Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Management Trainee to gain hands-on experience across service center operations, from logistics to team leadership. Trainees learn safety, quality, and efficiency while preparing for supervisory roles.

The program includes CDL training, paid training, and opportunities for growth within a fast-paced logistics environment. Relocation after training is encouraged and travel to other centers is approximately 15%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Knowledge of AS400 systems helpful.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Willing to relocate after training.
• Willing to travel ~15%.
• Experience in logistics or operations a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete shift manager training as understudy.
• Train across service center operations and forklift jobs.
• Assist in CDL training through ODTDT program.
• Support supervision across shifts and departments.
• Prepare monthly activity reports and monitor performance metrics.
• Ensure safety and efficiency in operations.
