Job summary

Target's Supply Chain Operations Internship offers a paid, full‑time 40 hr/week program designed to develop operations leadership. You’ll work with managers and team members to learn how the supply chain runs and how to excel in a management role.

You’ll lead and support daily operations, develop team members, and participate in mentoring and developmental conversations. Training is extensive and ongoing throughout the internship.

Qualifications

• Participation in school or extracurricular activities and leadership roles.
• Interest in retail and supply chain facilities.
• Ability to communicate clearly.
• Problem-solving and initiative.
• Team-oriented with enthusiasm for continuous learning.
• Ability to access all levels and areas of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Lead and align the team on daily business priorities on the facility floor.
• Plan daily goals and organize shift plans to achieve targets.
• Maintain quality and inventory accuracy through standardized processes and accountability.
• Track KPIs such as safety, teamwork, quality and productivity to identify gaps and drive actions.
• Conduct safety walks and audits to ensure compliance and safety.
• Mentor team members to develop leadership skills and guide them to take on responsibilities.
• Lead daily planning meetings with peers and leadership to set expectations.
• Support CI initiatives using problem-solving methodologies to drive lean improvements.
