Job summary

Target's supply chain operations internship is a paid, 40 hr/week program designed to develop your leadership skills in a real-world setting. As an Operations Intern, you will train under a mentor, lead a team on the floor, and gain visibility into how different functions in the building drive results.

You’ll learn to problem-solve, coach teammates, and participate in daily planning and safety focused activities, with opportunities to advance to leadership roles within Target's operations.

Qualifications

• Participation in school or extracurricular activities and experience in leadership roles.
• Strong interest in working in retail, specifically within our supply chain facilities.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Problem-solving skills and strong initiative.
• Team-oriented thinking with enthusiasm for continuous learning.
• Ability to access all levels and areas of the facility to respond to team member issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead amongst team members and align daily priorities on the facility floor.
• Support daily operations and KPIs including safety, quality and productivity.
• Mentor and develop team members to enable leadership growth.
• Collaborate with IT and operations to address system issues in WMS.
• Participate in daily planning meetings and shift goal setting.
• Assist with process improvement using CI methodologies.
