Job summary

Target's Supply Chain Operations Internship offers a paid, 40 hr/week program to develop leadership within a facility. As an Operations Intern you’ll work closely with managers and teammates to learn how a distribution center runs and how to excel in a management role.

You’ll lead and support daily operations, learn to motivate and influence a team, and gain exposure to inbound/outbound/warehousing while under a mentor.

Qualifications

• Participation in school or extracurricular activities and experience in leadership roles.
• Strong interest in working in retail, specifically within our supply chain facilities.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Problem-solving skills and strong initiative.
• Team-oriented thinking with enthusiasm for continuous learning.
• Understand instructions, reports, and information.
• Climb up and down ladders.
• Scan, handle and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 40 pounds.
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) and regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting daily operations on the facilities floor.
• Collaborating with team members to execute daily priorities.
• Maintaining quality/inventory accuracy through standardized processes.
• Tracking KPI’s and driving actions to improve performance.
• Participating in safety walks and coaching team members.
