Job summary

Target offers an Operations Intern program in its supply chain facilities. This paid internship is a 40 hr./week hands-on training designed to develop leadership skills for future operations management roles.

You will work with mentors and peers to lead daily operations, drive improvements, and gain exposure to multiple business areas within the building. You’ll learn problem-solving, team motivation, safety compliance, and lean practices, while participating in ongoing development conversations

Qualifications

Participation in school or extracurricular activities and experience in leadership roles

Responsibilities

As an Operations Intern, you’ll lead and support the execution of daily operations by working beside your team members and learn to lead, motivate and influence a team.
You’ll have ongoing developmental conversations with your mentor and manager throughout the internship.
You will work to lead a department, participate in daily planning meetings, and drive safety and productivity during shifts.
You will plan daily goals, organize shift plans, and provide summaries of results and learnings at shift end.
You will gain exposure to different business areas and functions within the building while learning Target’s leadership expectations.
