Job summary

STEM Talent Solutions in Manchester, NH is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the daily activities of a technical service and repair facility. This hands-on leadership role focuses on improving operational performance, developing staff, and ensuring top-quality outcomes and customer satisfaction.

You will manage production planning, scheduling, staffing, inventory, and budgeting while driving Lean initiatives, KPI tracking, and cross-functional collaboration with sales and service

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing, industrial service, repair, or operations.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and employee-development skills.
• Experience managing production schedules, KPIs, budgets, and operational performance.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience with technical products or industrial equipment.
• Familiarity with Lean principles, ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Office, and P&L management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage production planning, scheduling, staffing, inventory, and resource allocation.
• Lead, coach, and develop employees while building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Ensure customer orders are completed safely, on time, and to quality standards.
• Partner with sales and customer service teams on estimates, production updates, and customer needs.
• Track KPIs and implement improvements in productivity, quality, safety, and profitability.
• Lead Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and preventive maintenance programs.
• Manage departmental budgets, profitability, and gross-margin performance.
