Job summary

Workhorse is seeking a hands-on Plant Operations Manager to lead all plant operations, driving safety, quality, delivery, productivity and financial performance. This role provides strategic and operational leadership for manufacturing, maintenance, materials management, shipping and receiving, and workforce development.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• 7-10 years of manufacturing leadership experience, including plant operations.
• 5+ years in a vehicle/assembly environment with multi-functional teams.
• Proven track record in driving cost reductions, productivity gains, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable plant performance.
• Develop and execute operational plans that support company objectives, customer requirements, and growth initiatives.
• Ensure production schedules are achieved while maintaining quality, safety, and delivery commitments.
• Lead daily production reviews and implement corrective actions to address operational challenges.
• Drive Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
