Job summary

Workforce Recruiter is seeking an Operations Manager in the Freehold, NJ area to lead a fast-paced production team and champion continuous improvement. The role focuses on coaching, safety-first culture, and cross-functional collaboration across maintenance, engineering, quality, planning and logistics.

You will manage budgets, staff, and capital investments while driving Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to maximize throughput and product quality in a multi‑shift environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred.
• 7+ years of operations manufacturing management experience.
• Experience overseeing production in pharma, personal care, food or beverage.
• FDA regulated environments experience.
• Previous experience leading direct and indirect reports with at least 100 total reports.
• Root cause analysis and corrective action experience.
• Experience overseeing 24/7 operations.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent preferred.
• Budget management and ERP experience.
• MS Office skills, including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Directs 24/7 manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, throughput, reliability and cost targets.
• Designs and drives continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Coaches supervisors and team leads; oversees hiring, onboarding and qualification programs.
• Partners with maintenance, engineering, quality, planning and logistics to optimize site objectives.
• Leads industrialization efforts including new product launches and validations.
• Manages departmental budgets, labor planning and operating expenses.
